August and September Upcoming Events

Friday, July 29th, 2011

We have a few things planned for August and September…

First, on August 16, Flashes of Hope will be in town for another fantastic day of photography at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Flashes of Hope is a national non-profit organization that works with commercial photographers to provide free portraits to children battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses. If you’re interested, please contact Adair Freeman to participate, adair@adairfreeman.com. Adair is our ASMP TN Chapter Liaison for the Flashes of Hope dates and will assist in gathering the copyright agreement and scheduling.

The following day, August 17 at 6:30pm, there will be an informal get-together on the deck at El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant. Non-members are welcome so please come beat the heat with us with some great food and cool drinks.

And on Saturday, October 1, for all of you who are working with video or contemplating it, we are having an all-day Video Production Workshop. The price and location are still being worked out, but it promises to be an information-packed day, complete with different video sets, real shooting and the opportunity to see different DSLRs and audio equipment in action. All of that, plus lunch too!

We look forward to seeing you at one or more of these events!
